Some of our Summer Fun!
This summer we've had all kinds of fun!! Here are some pictures of just one of our adventures.
In August we took the girls up to Yellowstone. We were there for almost a week and had such a good time. Nila didn't like the smell that surrounded some of the geysers. Kamryn on the other hand wanted to kiss and hug every elk, deer, buffalo, and bear we saw.
We also stopped at Yellowstone Bear World in Idaho. The girls spent a few hours in the petting zoo.
Nila wanted nothing to do with mule deer, pot belly pigs, ducks, goats, etc. She was happy just to eat her bear shaped fries and watch everything going on around her. One of the deer walked over and started chewing on the straps on her wheel chair. I tell you what if looks could kill that deer would be in our freezer because Nila was not happy about this turn of events!
Then there was Kamryn. (oi - help me) From the moment we stepped into the petting zoo she was off. Immediately she grabbed the pot belly pigs cheeks and planted a big wet one on its filthy disgusting slobbery snout. Then she spent a good half hour chasing chickens, geese, ducks and turkeys around. She tried to crawl on a mule deer that was laying down, and every goat in the place was following her around trying to get something to eat out of her pockets!
It was a fun trip and the kids were great (especially when Elmo, Mickey Mouse or Shrek were playing in the DVD player!)
Kamryn has also discovered watermelon. (or as she's dubbed it "nummmm nummms") Everywhere we go as long as there is watermelon she is a happy little camper (and a sticky one at that!)
